Kenya Police FC have advanced to the next round of Confederation cup after knocking out Ethiopia Coffee 1-0 in a pulsating clash staged at Abebe Bikila Stadium on Sunday.
A star-studded team skippered by Musa Mohammed latched in a first-half goal from Toha Rashid.
A throw in from Baraka Badi saw defender Rashid net in the match opener with a header during the afternoon outing.
The club’s Executive Chairman, SAIG Nyale Munga, lauded the squad for the feat, adding that the team is on course to make history.
"The squad is playing exemplary well, and all that remains is a key focus on our finishing; the African glory is within our reach..said Nyale.

Police FC will now face off with Egyptian Giants Zamalek in the next round of the African Confederation Cup set to be staged in Egypt.
Head Coach Antony Kimani will be counting on a potent attacking squad of Clinton Kinanga,Francis Kahata, and goal scorer Toha Rashid
"We will now restrategize for the next game; we have what it takes for major honours", said Kimani.
Meanwhile, Police Bullets, who are also in Ethiopia, will face off with Tanzania's Simba Queens on monday 26th August, 2024 in the semi-finals clash of the CAF Women league qualifiers, with the winner facing off with the winner between CBE WFC and Kawempe Muslim during the finals at the Abebe Bikila Stadium on 29th August.
Police Bullets FC who are the rising stars in the competition will be wary of predictable dark horses at the championship, envisaging to cement their legacy.
The Beldina Odemba squad will seek to nullify their opponents through swift counter attacks to add continental dominance to their achievements this year
