Two suspected human traffickers arrested, 9 minors rescued in Embakasi

On Friday, July 12, detectives arrested two suspected human traffickers and rescued 56 victims.
According to a statement by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the suspects were nabbed in a residential area in Tasia, Embakasi Sub-County.
"Detectives from the Transnational Organized Crime Unit (TOCU) domiciled at the DCI headquarters have apprehended two human traffickers and rescued 56 victims," read the statement.
Among the rescued were 9 minors and 47 adults, who were taken to Embakasi Police Station for protective custody.
The suspects were escorted to Muthaiga Police Station for processing, pending arraignment.
