A businessman accused of stabbing his partner multiple times has been arrested after surrendering himself at the Nakuru Police Station accompanied by his lawyer.
Elias Mutugi Njeru, 35, is likely to face attempted murder charges after allegedly stabbing his girlfriend Florence Wanjiku Gichohi with a knife following a domestic fight at their home in Kiamunyi last week.
"Elias, a suspect in a case of attempted murder reported at Menengai Police Station, surrendered at this station in the company of his lawyer Gakuhi Chege and associates advocates. He has been re-arrested and placed in custody while appearing fit pending collection by Menengai police station," a police report stated.
His lawyer Gakuhi Chege said the suspect is ready to cooperate in the investigations.
The victim was found unconscious with stab wounds on the head and hands after a fight with his lover whom locals say run a land business together in the area.
