How water challenge almost derailed Kenya’s first beer

When Charles and George Hurst wanted an authentically Kenyan beer. They were disappointed to find out that producing one would be more challenging than expected. In 1922 they located an area in Ruaraka where they could start brewing. Unfortunately, the area lacked one crucial ingredient, water. Even after finding a stream to get water their first attempt at brewing beer fell short after people refused to drink their beer. Come with me as we explore how the two brothers failed but eventually tasted the sweet drops of success.
