Parliament in Kenya in 1972 paused a debate on the budget to discuss miniskirts, which were becoming more common in the country. The MPs however, didn't reach a consensus as some legislators wanted women and girls be allowed to dress in miniskirts which reached their buttocks, while others wanted the trend tamed, or be done away with.
