Three new Mpox cases reported, total rises to 17

The Ministry of Health has reported three new Mpox cases after nearly a month without any new cases, bringing the total confirmed cases to 17.
The cases were reported in Nairobi, Nakuru, and Mombasa counties.
Health Cabinet Secretary Debra Mlongo, in a statement, noted that the three patients are currently under observation.
Out of the 17 cases, 13 have fully recovered, while one patient succumbed last month.
According to Mlongo, the cases have spread across several counties, with Nakuru having the highest number.

"The distribution of cases is as follows: Nakuru (3), Kajiado (2), Bungoma (2), Taita Taveta (1), Nairobi (2), Busia (1), Mombasa (2), Makueni (1), Kericho (1), Uasin Gishu (1), and Kilifi (1)," said Mlongo.
