Six killed in Narok road accident

Six people have died and seven others injured in a road accident along the Narok-Mulot road. The accident occurred near the Silanga area about four kilometres from Narok town.

Narok Central Sub County Police Commander John Momanyi said that the accident happened when a Toyota Sienta collided head-on with a Subaru Forester.

The six according to Momanyi , including the driver of the Toyota Sienta, died on the spot. The driver of Subaru Forester complained of chest pains and was rushed to Cottage Hospital for medication.  

“The driver of Toyota Sienta and five unknown occupants died on the spot due to the impact, while the driver of Subaru Forester complained of chest pains and was rushed to Cottage Hospital in Narok town,” said Momanyi.

Those injured were taken to the different hospitals in Narok town.

“The Sienta was heading towards Mulot general direction while Subaru Forester was heading towards Narok general direction and upon reaching at the scene of the accident, the vehicles collided head-on collision when Subaru Forester tried to overtake another motor vehicle,” he added

The bodies were moved to Narok District Hospital Mortuary pending identifications and postmortem. Both motor vehicles were towed to Narok Police Station yard pending inspection.
