Candidates who sat the 2024 KCSE exam and got a university entry mark can finally apply for their preferred courses and institutions they wish to join.
This is after the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) on Friday opened its online portal for the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates to apply for degree courses.
The portal will also accommodate applications for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and Teacher Training College (TTC) programs.
According to KUCCPS, students who sat for their KCSE examinations in 2024 are eligible to apply for university degree programs.
Meanwhile, individuals who completed their KCSE between 2000 and 2024 can apply for TVET and TTC courses.

The placement body in a notice noted that the application deadline is set for April 21, 2025.
The application process will be conducted online through the KUCCPS student portal, students.kuccps.net.
The application process begins three months after the release of the 2024 KCSE exam results, following delays caused by a ="KUCCPS opens university portal for 2024 KCSE candidates to apply for degree programs, applications for TVET and TTC courses are also open; deadline is April 21.">High Court ruling< that nullified the new university funding model introduced in 2023.

The ruling comes as a major relief for universities and the management of higher learning institutions, as nearly 250,000 students under the new model had been left without tuition fees and upkeep funds for daily expenses.
