Rockstars FC is heating up the competition in Zone B of the FKF Western Region League, with their recent 1-0 victory against Nakalira FC cementing their position as serious contenders for the FKF Division 2 League qualifiers.

In a tightly contested match, Wekesa Barasa emerged as the hero for Rockstars FC, scoring the lone goal in the 29th minute, clinching a crucial win for his team.

The victory not only widened the gap between Rockstars FC and Nakalira FC but also solidified their position on the league standings, with Rockstars FC now sitting comfortably at 4th place with 24 points, while Nakalira FC settled for 5th with 20 points.

Speaking after the match, Rockstars FC Team Manager, Ronald Mugera, emphasized the importance of the win, highlighting the four-point lead it provided over Nakalira FC.

Mugera attributed their recent success to the financial support received from the Tujiamini Initiative, stating that it has provided the team with the necessary resources to aim for higher leagues.

"The availability of resources has made managing the team much easier. With our focus now on the qualifiers, we are determined to nurture and position our players for higher leagues," Mugera remarked.

The Tujiamini Initiative, powered by SportPesa, has been instrumental in supporting grassroots sports development in the country, aiming to identify and reward local talent.

Rockstars FC, being the inaugural winners of the Cheza Dimba Awards in the Tujiamini initiative, secured a three-year sponsorship deal worth 250,000 shillings annually, along with kit support.

"The support has come at the perfect time. As players, we are committed to working hard and delivering results that will propel us to the top," Wanjala affirmed.

Rockstars FC's journey in the FKF Division 2 League qualifiers is now filled with promise, as they continue to harness their talent and determination towards achieving their goals in the league and beyond.
