Blazers, who played to a 2-1 victory against Lakers Hockey Club and a barren draw against Kisumu Queens, top the table with 10 points from four matches.

Kisumu Queens are second, tied on 10 points but have played five matches, winning three, drawing one, and losing one.

Spartans left Kisumu empty-handed, having lost all their games.

In the men’s title race, former champions Butali Warriors top the standings with nine points, same as second placed USIU-A. The two sides are unbeaten have won all their three matches.

USIU-A had a successful trip to Kakamega, beating defending champions Western Jaguars 2-0 to make it three wins out of three, while Butali were not in action at the weekend. Sikh Union is third with six points from two wins and a loss.

Former holders Kenya Police, who are yet to regain their footing, suffered another defeat after going down 1-0 to Parklands Sports Club, while their clash against Nairobi Sikh Union was washed out. The law enforcers are experiencing a dull season, having won their season opener 4-1 against Strathmore University Gladiators but lost to Butali and Parklands. They bounced back from their 2-6 loss to drum KCA-University 4-0 on Saturday.

Strathmore Gladiators registered their first win of the season after edging out KCA-U 1-0 on Sunday. Defending champions Jaguars, who started the season on the wrong footing, losing 2-0 to USIU-A, salvaged a point from a goalless draw against Wazalendo ="https://www.google.com/url?client=internal-element-cse&cx=011965659370381653902:7awkdkhs2_y&q=https://www.standardmedia.co.ke/sports/hockey/article/2001511303/dull-ending-as-kenya-misses-africa-hockey-podium-finish&sa=U&ved=2ahUKEwjV04K385-NAxXGWkEAHQZGMsgQFnoECAgQAg&usg=AOvVaw2z-tku2-AwsBmEIxY_1ysZ&fexp=72957003,72957002">Hockey Club<.
