The leadership of the Amani National Congress (ANC) Party has unveiled ambitious plans for a comprehensive overhaul, intending to bestow a national identity upon the party associated with Musalia Mudavadi by the year 2027.
The announcement came during the launch of a robust member recruitment initiative in the Sabatia constituency, where the party's leadership, spearheaded by Secretary-General Omboko Milemba, emphasised the strategic objective of extending the party's influence beyond its traditional Western region stronghold.
Facing the potential amalgamation of various parties, including those aligned with the Kenya Kwanza Alliance, into a formidable political force, ANC has appointed the Emuhaya MP as its secretary-general. This move signals the party's intent to broaden its membership base across the entire nation.
Now equipped with a substantive party leadership, ANC underscores its commitment to an ongoing and extensive mass membership recruitment drive throughout the country. The party leadership asserts its readiness to contend with other major political entities in the upcoming 2027 elections.
"The mass member recruitment is ongoing; as a party, we are expanding to the national level. We aspire to register millions of members, employing both manual and digital methods," emphasised Milemba.

In the face of vigorous membership recruitment efforts by rival political parties, ANC aims to establish a formidable presence and counter the challenges posed by its competitors as the political landscape evolves leading up to the 2027 elections.
"We have begun here in Vihiga our vigorous party activities that will in turn be escalated to Kakamega and then other counties notionally, " said Milemba.
The party together with others affiliated with Kenya Kwanza Alliance had early this year been targeted towards folding up and forming one strong party.
Kenya Kwanza Alliance is a political outfit that has President William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA), ANC, and National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula’s Ford-Kenya among others.
