Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni has reacted to the National Dialogue Committee’s final report, dismissing claims that former President Uhuru Kenyatta attempted to interfere with the talks.

His sentiments come days after the Committee, led by former vice president Kalonzo Musyoka and Majority Leader Kimani Ichungwah released the final report to the public.

While addressing the media at Jubilee headquarters on Tuesday, Kioni said the report fell short of what the team had discussed.

Kioni was also a member of the national dialogue team.

“It would be immoral for someone to think that we sat as National Dialogue Committee to discuss how to give Musalia Mudavadi a job. We spoke on how to lower the cost of living but the report fell short of what we discussed,” Kioni says.

“I saw a team that was clueless, and with no capacity at all to change things in Kenya. When we left the committee, things had become more expensive than when we began”

According to Kioni, the government is clueless about how to improve things in the country and therefore using former President Uhuru Kenyatta as a scapegoat for their failures.

“If you want to know that this government has no idea on how to change things, they are always seeing the shadow of Uhuru. We are tired of endless blame on Uhuru. If they are not able to work for Kenyans, they should call IEBC and plan their exit,”

“Listen to what Ndii said. He said he did not want to be in a corrupt regime. There is no way we can deal with the cost of living if your work is to steal MPs to pass the Finance Act. Now they want to sell parastatals, who will buy KPC, KICC,”
