Kenyan esports sensation Joseph Njoroge, widely known as "Hunni Haven," is gearing up for his debut at the upcoming Global Esports Games in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, set to take place from December 12-17.

With aspirations of advancing to the knockouts, Njoroge finds himself in group A, facing off against formidable opponents including Kuwait, Malaysia, Turkiye, United Arab Emirates, Algeria, Tunisia, and Nigeria.

Expressing confidence in his preparation and strategic analysis of his rivals, Njoroge stated, "I have been training well, and I have also analyzed the opponents. I believe I have what it takes to make my nation proud. I just want to make it out of the group first, then from there, anything can happen."

Departing for Riyadh on Saturday night, Njoroge is poised for a thrilling competition.

Team Manager Brian Ochanda emphasized the importance of focus and concentration, stating, "It is crucial that we take one game at a time. Every gamer who made it this far is a skilled player. Concentration and focus will be key, and we are very confident with Hunni Haven."

Kenya will also be represented in the women's Dota 2 category, with the team, reigning African champions, scheduled to depart on December 11th.

Under the guidance of coach Allan "Serge" Gitau, this marks their second appearance at the global showcase, adding an extra layer of anticipation and excitement to Kenya's presence at the prestigious event.
