The two lovers who were found dead while holding hands at a rented apartment in Kisii Town are set to be buried at their respective homes on Friday.
Angela Moraa Ongeri,27, and Dr Vincent Bosire Nyambunde, 29, will be buried in Nyamira County even as the families of the two kept mum about the nature of their relationship and the nature of their death.
But according to a member of Moraa's family, an autopsy that was done on Moraa's body revealed her skull was crushed and as a result, she had suffered brunt trauma into the head.
"The doctor who was performing the postmortem on her body said she may have died from excessive bleeding in the head, owing to the kind of trauma that was inflicted into the skull," the relative said.
At the time of her death, Moraa is also said to have lost everything that she owned except her three phones, according to another relative.
"My niece was drained of everything, I only secured her only three mobiles (phones) from her, and she (was) then later killed. I need your prayers. I'm trying to overcome the challenges," Moraa's uncle posted on his Facebook page shortly after the news of her death were broken.
Moraa and her secret lover who was an intern doctor at the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital were found dead at an apartment in Nyamataro, the outskirt of Kisii Town on November 29 with their hands locked to each other in what seemed as an embrace of love.
In the bedroom, two bottles of mortuary preservatives and another one of an anesthetic drug and syringes were recovered.
The postmortem exercise was done on the two bodies at the same time but the families could not release for privacy reasons.
"The family requested privacy as they deal with the situation and we have to accord them the request," the relative who talked to The Standard on request of anonymity said.
Moraa will be buried at her parents' home in Moitunya Village while her secret lover will be laid to rest at his rural home in Bogeka 2 Village, Rigoma on the same day.
