Thanks to climate change, free thinkers of Nyanza have turned into sycophants

I hear a lobby by the curious name of Nyanza Professional Sycophants is raising funds to orchestrate the removal of Siaya Governor James Orengo from office for embarrassing Raila Odinga aka Baba. Actually, Baba has no capacity for embarrassment. I mean, if he were, he would have expressed his own disappointment in himself.

Orengo’s crime, I understand, was exercising his free thoughts (as learned people ought to) and reminding that youthful Kenyans did not lay their lives to pave way for his party, ODM, to join a cabal of thieves in government.

This time, Orengo did not quote Shakespeare to illustrate his depth of knowledge, or camouflage the meaning of his words; he laid it on the line, which some folks found to be very concerning. Reason, since Baba changed tune and a climate of fear descended in the aftermath of June 25, 2024 protests, all independent minds in the region turned into sycophants.

So, the Nyanza Professional Sycophants were upset that Orengo was asking such dubiously deep questions of Baba, knowing only too well that a man cannot blow a fire with water in his mouth. He has to swallow first.

But that was only the beginning. Now I hear that the gafment side is very upset with the good old Prof, Anyang Nyong’o, for ridiculing Prezzo Ruto’s impulse for “primitive accumulation schemes.”

The Kisumu governor is simply showing his middle finger to the professional sycophants, daring them to impeach him if they have the gall to do it. Let’s wait and see…
