Nominated MCA seeks justice for daughter found murdered

Nominated Kirinyaga MCA Lucy Njeri has called on the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) boss Mohamed Amin to bring to book suspects involved in the murder of her daughter Seth Njeri.
Njeri alleged that for more than a week now since the incident happened investigators at the Thika sub-county Criminal Investigation offices are yet to make progress on the matter.
The 23-year-old's body was discovered in a rented room in Biafra estate, Thika, on October14, 2024 by her friend, Favour Mwende.
Njeri described her daughter as a joyful, outgoing and had a bright future ahead of her.
Their bond was evident on social media, where hardly a day passed without mother and daughter sharing a video on TikTok or a photo on Instagram.

Seth was the only child to the nominated MCA.
Thika sub county police commander Lawrence Muchangi assured that the case was being taken seriously and investigations are underway.
"DCI officers have taken up the matter with the seriousness it deserves, and investigations are underway to unravel the murder," Muchangi said.
Police sources said, one of the students who was with Seth on the fateful Sunday is in custody.
