Police in Nyeri have launched a manhunt for a suspect linked to the murder of a first-year student at Karatina University.
Mathira East Police Commander Samson Leweri suspects that Bonita Ngatha Kariuki, 21, was allegedly stabbed to death by her boyfriend on Valentine’s Day in a case of love gone sour.
The 25-year-old suspect is also a first-year student at the same institution.
The police boss said two students who share a room with the suspect have been arrested and are helping with investigations.
Police reports indicate that Bonita who was pursuing a degree in Education had spent the better part of the day in a photo-shoot with the suspect.
