A devastating fire destroyed the historic Limuru Country Club early Saturday morning.
The club, which has been a landmark for 80 years, was engulfed in flames around 3:30 am, and the cause of the fire is still unknown.
Fire marshals responded swiftly and worked diligently to control the blaze and salvage any remnants of the beloved clubhouse.

In light of this incident, the Club's Chairman, John Keru, issued a statement suspending all activities at the club until further notice.
"The clubhouse will be temporarily closed while investigations and safety assessments are conducted. We will keep the community informed of the latest developments and provide updates on the reopening timeline as soon as more information becomes available," the statement read in part.
