“The school headteacher has been accused of indecently touching boys in the school while the board chairman is in custody for obstructing or frustrating justice or investigations, we took action and we have since known that this vice has been happening in the school, it is regrettable that some guardians had kept quiet ,”Ndege said
Ndege told journalists that the school has a moral obligation to protect the boys in school.
“The boys have been indecently abused and we have recorded statement from them and they have revealed to us that they were abused, the boys came to us and filed a complaint this is when some staffers tried to stop them. The matter is now before court and we remind our children that there is no heroism in keeping quiet , as of now we are pursuing more evidence that can help us in this matter ,”Ndege said.
On Tuesday, all the parents were requested to pick their boys from school.
“Dear parents following the ministries assessment that was conducted on Monday 13, 2026 the ministry has directed the school to close until further notice, based on this you are directed to pick up your child or make arrangement on how they will arrive home,” the message said .
Tuesday morning, the school was a beehive of activities as parents hurriedly went to pick their sons.
The sexual predation on boys was reported in Kikuyu police station under OB number 63/7/2026 by several parents with the same complaints.
According to police, the chairman of board of management was arrested for obstructing justice by trying to have the matter swept under the carpet .
One of the guardian who went to pick his son told The Standard that the allegation of sexual perverts preying on the boys started last week .
“The reports indicated that a senior teacher was touching our boys inappropriately and after a week of disquiet and rumours we were called in today to pick them, it is very frustrating that a school more so sponsored by church can be a center of this kind of loathsome news ,” the parent said.
She added that last Friday, there was a meeting in the school and there was a lot of ‘beating around the bush’ and parents left the school unsatisfied.
“It is very unsettling and worrisome to us as parents we had entrusted our boys to this school more so, to teachers and they have turned against the very persons they were supposed to nurture for the future of us and the nation, they have demonstrated that they are incapable of handling our sons and we hope that the police will handle this matter to a logical conclusion,” the parent said.
The parent asked the ministry of education to investigate the matter and weed out the sexual predators among teachers in the school.
“We had all the confidence that within these walls the boys will receive a holistic nurturing, unbeknownst to us predators were also lurking inside the same walls that were to provide security for our boys,” the parent said.
Another parent faulted the ministry of education for not following up the matter till it blew up.
“The ministry of education has handled this matter with a lot of contempt more so the Kikuyu office, this is a touchy issue that should have seen them react commensurately when it sprung up, what they are doing now is damage control and knee jerk reaction, we need safety of our children in school and that is part of their core bossiness in the ministry,” the parent lamented
She further noted that the boys at this age in school are vulnerable, making preying on them easier.
“These are kids you will threaten with consequences and they will keep quiet, I feel very aggrieved and hopeless more so noting that there are persons with influence within the school who are frustrating this issue, it becomes very painful to us parents , the ministry of education should keep their boots inside this school to unearth all these evils we are erring from our sons ,”She said .
The aggrieved parent added that she was happy that the boys chose not to raze down the school but chose to report the matter to authorities.
The parent said that it was a serious show of maturity by the boys amid threats and intimidation by a section of staffers and a board member.
