The countdown to the 2025 Football Kenya Federation (FKF) MozzartBet Cup is officially on, with 64 teams ready to battle for glory in Kenya’s most prestigious knockout football tournament.
This year's competition promises high-stakes drama, featuring a mix of FKF Premier League powerhouses, ambitious National Super League outfits, and determined lower-division teams eager to cause upsets.
Among the teams returning to the spotlight are last season’s surprise packages, Denmak FC and Compel FC, who left an indelible mark on the previous campaign.
Denmak famously stunned record champions Gor Mahia in the first round, delivering one of the tournament’s biggest shocks.
Meanwhile, Compel FC made history as the first FKF Division One side to reach the quarterfinals, overcoming Kajiado FC and Mara Sugar FC before their fairytale run was halted by AFC Leopards.

Their impressive performances have set the stage for another thrilling contest, proving that lower-tier sides can hold their own against Kenya’s football elite.
Adding an unpredictable element to this season’s tournament is a strong non-league contingent. Teams like Kakamega Veterans, Jumbo TFC, and Donholm Seniors will be aiming to ruffle feathers against the established clubs, making this year’s edition one of the most open in recent history.
With 12 FKF Premier League teams and five FKF National Super League sides in the mix, the tournament is set for a fierce battle that could see underdogs rise to the occasion.
The official tournament draw will take place on Monday, February 17, 2025, officially setting the stage for the opening round. The action kicks off in March with the Round of 64, followed by the Round of 32 later that month.
The competition will intensify with the Round of 16 in April, leading into the quarterfinals and semifinals in May. The grand finale is set for June 14, where two teams will battle for the coveted trophy and a potential spot in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The MozzartBet Cup continues to offer a platform for clubs across all tiers to showcase their talent and stake a claim on national silverware.
Fans can expect fireworks, as FKF Premier League giants such as Gor Mahia, AFC Leopards, Tusker FC, and KCB prepare to defend their dominance against fearless challengers from the lower leagues.
With emerging stars ready to shine and underdogs eager to seize their moment, the 2025 edition is shaping up to be an unmissable spectacle.
