Dutch national jailed 10 years for exposing minors to pornographic content

A Dutch national has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after being found guilty by a Nairobi court of exposing three minors aged between 7 and 17 years old to pornographic images and videos via WhatsApp.

Jan Int Veld, alias Teacher Jan Mzungu was additionally ordered to pay Sh 1 million in compensation to each of the minors for the trauma caused.

Furthermore, Milimani Magistrate Joyce Macharia ordered the 74-year-old foreigner to be deported to the Netherlands once he completes his sentence. Veld was convicted on 10 charges of exposing minors to pornographic videos.
