Court to rule on application to suspend impeachment trial against Gachagua

The High Court will Tuesday deliver a ruling on the application to suspend the Senate impeachment trial against Deputy President RIgathi Gachagua.
Justice Chacha Mwita is expected to deliver the ruling on Tuesday, October 15 at 2:30 pm.
The ruling will come a day before the Senate Assembly commences the hearing of the impeachment motion.
Meanwhile, Chief Justice Martha Koome on Monday, October 14, appointed a three-judge bench to hear and determine five petitions challenging the impeachment of Gachagua.
The bench comprises of justices Eric Ogola, Anthony Mrima, and Frida Mugambi.
