Detectives have arrested a man linked to the fatal shooting of a 25-year-old in Eastleigh and a police officer’s murder in 2023.
Paul Othiambo Owuodho, also known as Fazul Muhamed, was apprehended by officers in Kiambiu slums on Friday, November 22.
Police said the 27-year-old suspect is accused of killing Abdirahim Abdullahi Ibrahim on Thursday, November 9, near DD Plaza in Eastleigh.
The attack, captured by CCTV, showed a gunman approaching Ibrahim and his girlfriend from behind before firing a single shot below his ear, police said.

The assailant then stole Ibrahim’s phone and fled, leaving his girlfriend at the scene.
A postmortem revealed Ibrahim died from excessive blood loss caused by a gunshot wound to his neck, investigators noted.
Police said Owuodho is also implicated in the 23 August 2023 murder of police constable David Mayaka, who was fatally shot by three men on a motorcycle in Mihango, Kayole.
The case remains pending in court.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) noted the suspect is being held at Shauri Moyo Police Station as investigations continue.
