The Kenyatta University Teaching Referral and Research Hospital (KUTRRH) has appointed Isaac Irungu Kamau as the acting CEO effective immediately.
The appointment follows a decision by the hospital's Board to allow Ahmed Dagane to proceed on leave.
“Your appointment will remain in effect until further notice. You will be paid appropriate allowances as the Ag. Chief Executive Officer. We wish you well and the Board of Directors looks forward to efficient and effective service delivery,” the letter by the facility's Chairperson Prof Olive Mugenda read.
It remains unclear why Dagane has proceeded on leave after serving in the same position since July 2022.
KUTRRH has been a state corporation since early 2019 under the Health docket.
