Journalist Nick Mudimba passes away

CGTN Africa journalist Nick Mudimba has died.
Mudimba died on Sunday after he collapsed at his home in Syokimau, Machakos County.
A family source has said that he was unwell and was receiving treatment.
Mudimba had previously worked at KTN and Switch TV before joining CGTN Africa as a senior reporter.
Colleagues have described him as a committed professional expressing disbelief over the sudden demise.

Upon learning of his demise, fellow journalist Ferdinand Omondi said; "one of the kindest souls I ever met, and always ready for a good laugh".
Sports journalist Hassan Juma eulogised him as: “One of the best and easy guys I have worked with, fare thee well brother. You played your part and left a mark wherever you went.”
NTV’s Ben Kitili marked his death as a major loss to friendship and work.
“March and death have robbed us of yet another colleague. Friend, sports banter mate, neighbour, lovely soul. Fly with the angels Nick Mudimba,” Kitili stated.
Mashirima Kapombe, a journalist at Citizen has also condoled over the suden death of Mudimba praying for “eternal rest grant unto Nick Mudimba and let perpetual light shine upon him”
