President William Samoei Ruto has arrived in Sagana ahead of the Mt. Kenya development tour beginning tomorrow.
On his arrival on Thursday evening, the President was received by residents.
The highly anticipated five-day tour will cover nine Counties, starting with Laikipia to Kiambu County.
In preparation for the visit, government officials are already on the move, inspecting ongoing projects to give back reports to the president.
This will be the President's first return to Mt Kenya in six months, following his former deputy Rigathi Gachagua's dramatic impeachment.

The residents have expressed different opinions on his anticipated tour.
His estranged former Dp Gachagua held a rally in Wangige town on Thursday before his visit.
Gachagua, addressing the residents, claimed the president was coming to launch projects initiated by his predecessor.
“Ruto is coming to Mt Kenya to lie to Kenyans. All the projects in Mt Kenya were started by Uhuru Kenyatta. Ruto should tell us any project he has done,” said Gachagua.
