According to the OCPD, the suspect who is being held at Uriri Police Station will be arraigned when investigations are complete. The couple have been living together for ten years.
Pombo advised couples to seek assistance whenever they had issues instead of taking the law into their own hands. He asked men being abused by their wives to come out and report such matters.
"GBV can affect both men and women. Men who suffer should come out and speak," Pombo said.
Likewise, he asked women to always report when they faced gender-based violence in their homes.
