The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has warned five of its members over indiscipline and disrespect to the party's leadership, including the Presidency.
The five include; MPs Oscar Sudi (Kapseret), Gathoni wa Muchomba (Githunguri), Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga and Cabinet Secretaries Kipchumba Murkomen (Transport) and Moses Kuria (Public Service).
In a statement by UDA's Secretary General Cleophas Malala, the five are said to have publicly undermined the party's unity and disregarded their roles in the government, actions he says are unacceptable.
"I specifically address recent public sentiments and actions of Githunguri Member of Parliament Gathoni Wa Muchomba, Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi, and Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga. Your recent conduct not only undermines the party's unity but disrespects the leadership that you pledged to serve," read the statement in parts.
"Additionally, it has come to my attention that some Cabinet Secretaries have involved themselves in political activities, contrary to the law which requires them to remain apolitical. Your primary role is to serve the people within your docket. Should you wish to engage in politics, you are welcome to resign and join the political arena."
