A neighbour who heard the commotion called the police from a nearby Kitengela police station who arrived at the scene immediately.
According to the neighbour, the incident occurred at around 8 am Friday following a domestic quarrel.
The neighbour who witnessed the occurrences told The Standard that she was answering a distress call from the young girl who was pleading with her father not to kill her mother.
''I heard the girl shouting and rushed to see what was happening. When I got in their house, I found the lady laying in their bed in a pool of blood wreathing in pain,'' the neighbour said.
The witness said she was shocked to see the lady in the condition she was as the man vanished before she could call the police.
She said she later sought assistance from other neighbours who rushed the victim to Kitengela sub-county hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Isinya police boss Patrick Manyasi while confirming the incident, appealed to parents to apply sober mind as they solve their domestic wrangles.
''What has gone wrong with our communities? We cannot be solving our domestic wrangles by killing each other, this is unacceptable'' said Manyasi.
He said at the one-room rented house, officers found clothes scattered all over, and blood-stained bed sheets on the bed.
He said the woman had severe stubbed wounds on the left ribs, left palm and bruises on the face suspected to have been caused by a sharp object.
''We did a thorough search for the murder weapon and we found a kitchen knife with blood stains," he said.
Manyasi said the body of the deceased was later taken to Kitengela sub-county hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
