Four people, including two politicians from West Pokot County, have died in a road accident in Tapaach along the Moroto-Napak road in Uganda.
West Pokot County Commissioner Khaliff Abdullahi said authorities are yet to establish the cause of the accident that involved a West Pokot County Government vehicle.
"The matter is being looked into, and we will provide further details once we establish what happened," Abdullahi said.
The identities of the victims have not yet been officially released, pending notification of their families.
However, local sources indicate that two victims are seasoned politicians—one contested for the Kapenguria MP seat in the 2022 elections, while the other had vied for MCA position.
