Two hours later, the couple was back at it as the man screamed in pain seeking assistance from his neighbors who moved in and found him bleeding profusely from the neck.
“The man was in a lot of pain and he was rushed to a nearby health center but unfortunately he passed on along the way and the wife is missing,” he said.
Naivasha DCIO Isaac Kiama confirmed the incident adding that investigating officers had recovered the murder weapon and were seeking the suspect.
He said that soon after stabbing the man, the wife escaped from the scene adding that they had launched a manhunt for him.
“The house was in disarray indicating violent commotion and the body has since been collected and an inquest file opened,” he said.
Meanwhile, one person died and another one was left fighting for his life after their vehicle rammed into the rear of a lorry along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway.
The woman died on the spot while the male driver was admitted in Naivasha sub-county hospital in serious condition following the midnight accident in Kinungi, 15kms from Naivasha town.
According to the CID boss, the truck ferrying farm produce had stalled in the middle of the road when the accident occurred.
“It’s not clear what happened as the driver of the stalled lorry had placed warning signs but the personal car rammed into the rear killing a woman and seriously injuring the driver,” he said.
