Narok leaders urge new municipal board to serve with integrity

Leaders have urged newly sworn-in members of the municipal board and the incoming Roads and Public Works CEC, Kool Isaack, to uphold integrity and accountability. During their swearing-in ceremony, officials emphasised the importance of their mandate, asking them to make the town modern and well-planned.
Tourism and Wildlife PS John Ololtua also highlighted the importance of cooperation between the national and county governments, describing the two levels as interdependent in fostering development.
Governor Patrick Ntutu expressed confidence in the board, stating it has the capacity to drive growth and enhance service delivery.
The governor emphasised the critical role municipalities play, including infrastructure expansion, improved service delivery, and orderly urban growth. He cited key projects such as the SGR, a proposed international airport, expanded road networks, and affordable housing as vital drivers of economic growth and investment.
Ntutu directed the incoming Roads executive to prioritise areas most affected by recent heavy rains, especially in the northern parts of the county, warning that swift action is essential to restore damaged infrastructure. The governor also urged Members of the County Assembly to expedite pending legislation, including a bursary Bill to support thousands of students.
