FKF-PL: Ulinzi Stars, Mara Sugar shine in Saturday's action

Ulinzi Stars moved to 10^th in the standings after picking their third consecutive FKF Premier League win on Saturday when they saw off Kariobangi Sharks 1-0 at Dandora Stadium.

Riding on their last two wins against Mara Sugar (1-0) and Nairobi City Stars (2-1), the soldiers meant serious business and sealed maximum points courtesy of Javan Omondi’s 79th-minute strike.

Victory lifted Ulinzi to 10th place on the table with 22 points while Sharks' winless streak stretched of six games saw them drop to 14th with 19 points.

In Migori County, Mara Sugar thrashed former champions Mathare United 3-0 at the Awendo Green Stadium.

Led by assistant coached Benedict Wanjala and Ben Omukuba, the sugar men who suspended their head coach George Midenyo took the lead in the 30th minute through David Owino.
