In Pictures: Ruto in Kigali to attend Africa CEO Forum

President William Ruto is in Kigali, Rwanda for the second, and final day, of the annual Africa CEO Forum.

The event brings together corporate executives, Heads of State and governments, and investors to discuss strategies the African continent can utilise to fit in the global economy and governance.

According to official communication from State House, Ruto is expected to have an audience with leading investors to explore areas of potential collaboration.

At the same time, he will participate in a presidential panel, before sitting down with the UK-based ‘Financial Times’ for an interview.

The president has reiterated his calls for climate action backed by resources from rich nations, reforms of the global finance system to save Africa from debt distress, including AU reforms to enable it do Africa's bidding.

He adds these will also form a big part of his conversation with US President Joe Biden during the upcoming State visit.

This year’s summit of the African CEOs is taking place in Rwanda on May 16 and 17.

The forum began yesterday, with over 2000 business leaders and policymakers in attendance to discuss how Africa can secure its place among tomorrow’s leading powers.
