LPG gas tanker explodes in Fedha, Embakasi

A lorry ferrying a tank of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) has burst into flames at Stage Mpya, in Pipeline, Nairobi.

The incident has caused a traffic snarl-up with police saying that no one has been reported injured during the incident that happened a few minutes past midday on Monday, 3 June.

 It has not yet been established what caused the incident that left a huge smoke billowing into the skies.

 Fire engines were seen rushing to the scene as the residents scampered for safety.

 Police had a hard time controlling the crowds that were milling around the scene.

By the time of going to press, the traffic was still heavy as police urged motorists to use alternative routes.
