Kenya Airways has assured its customers that flights to and from Zambia will continue as scheduled.

This follows a notice from the Zambian Civil Aviation Authority, making rounds on the internet, announcing the suspension of all Kenya Airways (KQ) flights to Zambia starting October 8.

In a statement, KQ said: "We are aware of a letter from the Zambia Civil Aviation Authority to the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority. Following discussions between the regulators, we assure our customers that our flights into and out of Zambia will continue to operate as scheduled."

The Zambian authority had initially issued the suspension after KQ allegedly decided to block Zambia Airways from flying into Kenya.

In an effort to resolve the issue, the Zambian regulator reached out to Kenya’s Civil Aviation Authority but received no response, prompting the suspension.

However, the two authorities now appear to have reached an agreement, with KQ apologizing for any inconvenience caused during the standoff.
