Kenya, Lesotho to strengthen ties after Nairobi talks

President William Ruto and King Letsie III of Lesotho met at State House Nairobi to reaffirm bilateral ties and explore new areas of cooperation.

 They directed their Foreign ministers to convene the Joint Commission on Cooperation to identify opportunities for collaboration.

 "We affirmed the strong and cordial relations between our two nations and deliberated on ways of enhancing them," said Ruto.

 The leaders also discussed school feeding programmes in Kenya and Lesotho, expressing satisfaction with their impact on education. They noted that the initiatives have boosted school attendance, improved learning outcomes, and enhanced students' health and nutrition.

 King Letsie III noted the importance of sustaining and expanding such initiatives to benefit more children.

 The Joint Commission on Cooperation is expected to explore further avenues for strengthening bilateral ties and advancing shared development goals.
