Stakeholder offers specialised training to Busia nurses to expand career horizons

“The initiative has been instrumental in bridging the gap between Kenyan healthcare professionals and international employment opportunities,”he said.

Justus added that the training covered critical areas, including credential verification, licensing exams, visa processes, and job placement in reputable US healthcare facilities. 

“Our goal is to make the transition smoother for Kenyan nurses by providing step-by-step support”.

He urged more nurses to take advantage of the available resources, register for training, and equip themselves with the necessary skills to succeed on the global stage.

Among those in attendance was Roseline Tiema, a registered nurse at Wakhungu Dispensary, who said she discovered the program through Facebook.

"The process isn't as complicated as I thought. As a nurse, it's important to explore various opportunities, and this program provides all the guidance needed. I am eager to advance my career through this organisation," Tiema said.

Renny Magero, a nurse at Bwingi Dispensary in Samia, also expressed her enthusiasm about the initiative, stating that it had given her the confidence to pursue her longtime dream of working abroad.

"I heard about the Kenyan Nurse Consultants through a friend, and the training has clarified so much for me. Working in the US has always been my goal, and now that I have the right guidance, I feel ready to take the next step. This is an opportunity for many qualified nurses seeking better prospects," she shared.
