Kitengela man on the run after stabbing wife, pushing her from third floor

Police in Kitengela, Kajiado, are searching for a man accused of stabbing his wife and pushing her from the third floor of their house on Tuesday morning.

 The suspect, identified as 37-year-old tuk-tuk driver Kelvin Onyango, allegedly stabbed his wife three times with a kitchen knife before pushing her out of the window. Onyango fled the scene, leaving the woman in a pool of blood.

 A neighbour alerted police at Kitengela Police Station, who responded immediately. The victim was rushed to Kitengela Medical Hospital, where she is receiving treatment.

 House help Awori Scovia said the incident followed a domestic quarrel that started around 8 a.m.

 "The couple has not been living peacefully; they fight frequently," said Scovia. "At one time, the man even threatened to kill me for not informing him about what happens when he is away."

 Plot caretaker Francis Musembi, who heard the commotion, said he found the woman lying in pain.

 "I was shocked to find her in the state she was," said Musembi. "Before I could call the police, the man had already disappeared."

 Isinya Police Commander Patrick Manyasi confirmed the incident, urging families to handle domestic disputes calmly.

 "What has gone wrong with our communities? We cannot resolve domestic issues by harming each other; it is unacceptable," said Manyasi.

 Meanwhile, police in Isinya are pursuing a doctor accused of raping a patient at Honor Health Services Clinic on Monday.

 The victim, identified as Stacy Mumbua from Kitengela town, had gone for medical tests when the alleged assault occurred. Police say the doctor disappeared after the incident.

 "We received reports of the alleged rape and took the victim to a hospital in Kitengela, where the act was confirmed," said Manyasi. "We have crucial leads and are working around the clock to apprehend the suspect. This incident is an embarrassment to the medical profession."
