FKF Premier League side KCB has parted ways with their head coach Patrick Odhiambo and assistant coach Jeffer Odongo after a series of poor results.
Fitness trainer Eric Muranda has also not been spared, with goalkeeper Samuel Koko Okoth appointed to take charge of the team on an interim basis until the end of the season.
The bankers, who are currently ninth on the log with 41 points, have gone eight matches without a win. Their last victory came way back in March when they beat Ulinzi Stars 2-1.
Okoth will lead the bankers against Nairobi City Stars on June 10 before wrapping up the campaign with a clash against AFC Leopards on June 15.
In a statement issued on Friday, KCB chairman Bramwel Simiyu the decision to ‘suspend’ the trio was made as a way of helping the team end the season on a high note.

“We have had mutual discussions with the coach and the two assistants. We want to inject fresh impetus into the team to finish strong and prepare for the next season,” said Simiyu.
“KCB Football remains a crucial part of the KCB brand’s sporting platform. With that said, it’s imperative for us to take stock of where we are as we position ourselves more strongly for the future. We have an ambition to win the league and to sustain such a performance over the years.”
Meanwhile, Nairobi United have finally been promoted to the FKF Premier League after their 2-1 victory over 3K FC in a National Super League match at Dandora Stadium yesterday.
The win saw Nicholas Muyoti’s men (66 points) open an 11-point gap at the summit with three matches to go.
