Matiang'i promises to crush goons if elected president

Jubilee party presidential candidate Fred Matiang’i has vowed to crush goons if he assumes office of the presidency.
He said it is embarrassing that the country is being led by goons who are harassing and beating up people with reckless abandon.
“I can swear now and here that if I take up the presidency mantle, I will fix this nation and goons will be a thing of the past. We have gotten to some extreme levels of madness and our focus will be to restore this nation,” Matiang’i said.
He noted Jubilee Party will lead an effective government that will condemn all forms of violence, from physical violence to verbal violence.

"We have a country to lead even if they gave us all manner of names like the red wheelbarrow and moles party, we shall soldier on, we shall be restrained, tolerant and focused and we shall carry ourselves with some decency and decorum,” Matiang’i said.
He added that his main focus and that of the Jubilee Party is to restore education and health, which have deteriorated since they left office.
“Since we left office, nothing is happening in this nation; they are launching things that we started, or we did,” Matiang’i said.
Matiang’i told hundreds of Jubilee ticket aspirants that they now must move from house to house and every corner of the villages to sell the ideals of the Jubilee party if the party and the aspirants want to be competitive in various seat races.
“Campaign requires energy, creativity and innovation in bid to succeed, as the presidential office we shall work on merchandise provision for all our aspirants, the other issue that we shall face head on is the issue of nominations which was one thing that lead to our dismal performance last general elections, we shall make sure the nominations are fair and free and we shall be strict on this,” Matiang’i said.
He clarified that Jubilee Party was founded on principles of integration and inclusivity and results, noting that Uhuru Kenyatta will be remembered for his relentless efforts of uniting Kenyans.
He noted that Uhuru said that there was nothing like development if Wanjiku would not feel it.
Jeremiah Kioni, who had accompanied Matiang’i, told the aspirants that Jubilee must organise itself if they want to deliver.
“Our problem in the Central region is not Ruto at all, his goose is already cooked, our headache is DCP party they are working against jubilee and they are pushing us out and we want to push Ruto away together, we won’t agree to be buried by DCP, we must paint Mt Kenya red, united opposition is there and then we have Linda mwananchi whose slogan is mimi ndie Sifuna but there is someone who wanted the slogan to say, Mimi ndie Riggy G,” Kioni said.
Kioni lamented how Rigathi and DCP stormed his backyard without even the decency or courtesy of notifying him of their presence.
“We shall hit the ground henceforth; we shall not allow anyone to dictate who will be the presidential flag bearer on the united opposition. Jubilee has a presidential candidate who is Fred Matiangi,” Kioni said.
Matiang'i was speaking in Jumuiya Centre, Limuru, during the central region Jubilee aspirants consultative meeting which was also attended by other Jubilee stalwarts like Ngunjiri Wambugu, Ole Kenta, former Nyandarwa governor Francis Kimemia and Kembi Gitura.
