In an outcome that was least expected, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) upset the form book by humbling former Kenya Volleyball Federation Women’s National League champions Kenya Pipeline 3-1 in a match played yesterday at Nyayo outdoor court.
DCI bounced back from the loss on Saturday to former title holders Kenya Prisons to end the Oilers' flawless run that had seen them remain unbeaten until yesterday.
Going against Pipeline, who are fresh from winning bronze at the African Volleyball Club Championship in Abuja, Nigeria, the sleuths staged a brave fight from start to finish.
Pipeline settled in the match first and seemed to be in control of the game even as DCI struggled to find their footing.
