Parents can now track their children’s academic progress, fee payments and school updates in real-time thanks to the launch of a new platform aimed at improving school-parent communication.
The platform, Mzizi Engage, replaces outdated systems and provides parents with instant updates.
It offers a more direct link between schools and families, ensuring that parents are consistently involved in their children’s education.
Developed by Mzizi, a digital solutions provider for schools, the platform is designed to help bridge communication gaps and reduce parental disengagement.
“Parents want to be involved in their child’s education, but outdated systems often make that difficult. Mzizi Engage gives them a real-time, centralised solution,” said Mike Ngige, Mzizi’s Revenue Operations Manager, during the launch at Good Testimony Junior School on Saturday, February 1.
The event featured a digital literacy session led by Mzizi Growth Manager Lindah Achieng, who encouraged both schools and parents to embrace technology for more effective engagement.
Many parents have long expressed frustration over the lack of timely communication from schools, often left out of the loop until report cards are issued.
Mzizi Engage aims to change that, providing a continuous flow of updates that keep parents informed every step of the way.
“As parents, we often only hear about school matters during report card season. This will change that,” said Jane Theodore, a parent.
The platform was created by Mzizi founders Lewis Njoroge and Simon Kiarie to address the communication challenges that many schools face.
Good Testimony Schools will pilot Mzizi Engage for a term before it is rolled out more widely.
“We’ve used Mzizi School ERP to digitise administration, and now Mzizi Engage will change how we communicate with parents,” said Joy Soita, Human Resource Manager at Good Testimony Schools.
Mzizi Engage aims to empower both parents and schools, ensuring that parents remain informed and involved throughout their child’s educational journey.
