Kiambu: KDF officer dies by suicide

Police are investigating the death of a Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officer who died by suicide on Thursday at the Kahawa Barracks.

According to a police report seen by The Standard, the officer was found hanging in her bathroom, a rope tied to the metal bars above.

The report indicates that she had been diagnosed with Recurrent Depressive Disorder in March and was undergoing treatment.

“The body of the deceased was removed to the Defence Forces Memorial Hospital for a post-mortem examination,” reads the report.
