Businessman Philip Aroko now alleges that the Homa Bay Governor is behind the push to link him to the murder of Kasipul MP Charles Were.

Aroko who surrendered to Gigiri Police Station late Wednesday after the DCI asked him to, told journalists that the leadership of Homa Bay County is behind his recent frustrations.

"I saw the governor pushing so much, She was even making phone calls to the police to have me record a statement. I want to tell her that she has achieved that now," Aroko stated.

At the same time, the businessman has vowed to change the politics of Homa Bay County, stating that they have been turned chaotic.

"I want to tell the people of Homa Bay that the politics in that area is madness and thuggery, but we are going to change that to civil politics," he added.

Aroko has also reiterated that he is willing to cooperate with the police in the investigations into the murder of the slain Kasipul legislature who was shot dead on Wednesday, April 30, in Nairobi evening traffic by a gunman whose accomplice was riding a motorbike.
