Tassia fire that razed several houses contained

A fire broke out in Kwa Kassim, Tassia, Embakasi East, on Saturday, March 1 destroying several houses.
Firefighters, along with residents, managed to contain the blaze, but at least six people, including a child, sustained burns.
Authorities at the scene confirmed that the fire had been contained, although a significant amount of property was destroyed.
Earlier, a video shared by the area Member of Parliament, Paul Ongili, alias Babu Owino, on Facebook, showed bright flames lighting the night sky. In the video, the MP expressed the gravity of the situation, urging for prayers.

"Pray for us as fire is currently razing down houses at Tassia, Embakasi East. Property worth millions was destroyed, and children, men, and women were left homeless, and forced to spend the night in the cold. What a sad night in Embakasi East," wrote the MP.
The cause of the fire remains unknown.
