Kanu Party Communications Officer Cornelius Ronoh is missing after allegedly being abducted last night in Fedha, Embakasi East.
In a statement, the party's Director of Communications, Manasse Nyainda, said they were informed of Ronoh’s abduction on Tuesday morning.
Nyainda stated that Ronoh, who serves as a digital communications officer for the Party, was abducted outside a barbershop he frequents near Nyayo Gate B in Fedha.
“Mr. Ronoh, an active digital political commentator, is the latest victim of blatant abductions targeting those who criticise the country’s public policy decisions,” said Nyainda.
The party expressed concern over the rise of gangland-style kidnappings targeting young people who voice their views on public policy issues through digital platforms. It warned that such incidents signal a troubling future for the rule of law in the country.

“This attempt to instill fear and silence dissent is unwarranted and has no place in our nation,” the statement read.
Nyainda added that the Party has sent lawyers to report the matter and seek action at the nearest police station in Embakasi East.
KANU has also urged authorities to present Ronoh in a court of competent jurisdiction if he is accused of any offense under the law.
