As NACADA continues its mission to fight alcohol and drug abuse, the Authority has been recognized for its outstanding financial reporting at the 2024 Financial Reporting (FiRe) Awards.
The award, presented in Nairobi, acknowledges NACADA’s excellence in financial management and accountability under the category of Unqualified Report - International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS).
NACADA’s CEO, Dr. Anthony Omerikwa, celebrated the achievement stating: “This award shows our commitment to transparency and accountability in everything we do. It motivates us to keep improving as we serve the public.”
The FiRe Awards, held annually, highlight organisations excelling in financial reporting, governance, and sustainability.
Organised by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), the Capital Markets Authority (CMA), and the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE), the event encourages institutions to follow global accounting standards.
