Kenya has issued an advisory alert to its citizens in Myanmar and Thailand following the recent devastating earthquakes in both countries.
In a statement from the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, Principal Secretary Roseline Njogu advised individuals residing in the two countries to prioritize their safety and remain vigilant.
“We stand in solidarity with all those affected by this disaster. To ensure safety, all Kenyans in the affected regions are advised to stay alert and monitor updates,” stated PS Njogu.
Citizens are encouraged to stay informed by following local news and official alerts for real-time updates on aftershocks and emergency measures related to the earthquakes.
They should prioritize personal safety by avoiding unnecessary travel to heavily impacted areas. As they remain vigilant, it is also advisable for them to register with their embassy.
