A 36-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly defiling a Form Two student.
Kajwang Sub-location Assistant Chief Enos Nyawade said the suspect has been defiling the 14-year-old girl for the last four months.
Nyawade suspects the man used money to lure the girl.
“Our preliminary investigations reveal that the man began defiling this girl in December 2024,” he said.

The suspect went into hiding when he learnt that police were looking him.
“He has given us difficult times by hiding after he got information that we were looking for him. I used some tactics which enabled us to get hold of him,” he said.
Nyawade apprehended the suspect and handed him to police at Ndhiwa Police Station.
The administrator claimed that the man was notorious for defiling girls in the area, causing them to drop out of school.
“The man is a polygamist, but he still defiles girls, making some of them drop out of schools after impregnating them,” Nyawade said.
He warned residents against taking advantage of minors saying culprits will face stern action.
“We must stand firm in protecting the rights of our girls. Failure to do so will deny us female leaders in future,” Nyawade said.
